An overview of studies and courses in english
An overview has been compiled of the main studies and courses that individuals can apply for vocational funding for simplification for those who speak other languages than Icelandic, see here
Members of the unions behind Starfsafl come from 90 countries. It is impossible to present information in all of those languages, so we will make do with English and hope that it will be useful.
It must be kept in mind that there are always requirements for a certain course structure and accreditation or approval of educational providers, to name a few. It is therefore important to familiarize yourself with the fund’s rules, which will also be accessible in English when the fund’s new website is launched.
About Starfsafl:
Starfsafl Vocational Fund is a fund of the Confederation of Icelandic Employers and Efling, VSFK and the Hlíf Trade Union. The fund was established on the basis of collective agreements in 2000 and its role is to support members and the companies they work for in vocational training.
Grants to individuals are processed by the trade unions, while Starfsafl processes grants to companies. Starfsafl’s income is a vocational training premium, which is a contractual payment made by employers to the fund, as agreed at any given time.
